    A PROPHET
He is the one that the Word come to, Amos 3:7 Amo 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
64-0315 paragraph 72-73 Isaiah was a prophet.A Prophets are born. They just laying their hands on them and making them prophets. They are born, foreordained of God.Gifts and calling are without repentance…But a prophet is absolutely ordained with THUS SAITH THE LORD,from childhood up.
56-1206 paragraph 18b),Now God had His man and it was Elijah, the Tishbite. And usually.God has one Major in them days,a major prophet. Then sometimes He will have others, minor prophets,In the days of Elijah,he knew that he was making ready for his translation.God was going to take him up.
Laodicean Church Age:We must seriously consider these two thoughts.First.this Age will have One Prophet-Messenger:Rev 10:7 says, when he(singular shall begin to sound). There has never been an age where God gave His people two Major prophets at one time.He gave Enoch(alone),He gave Noah(alone),He gave Moses(he alone had the word though others prophesied), John the Baptist came Alone

THE PROPHET OF THE FIVE FOLD MINISTRY

He is there for the perfection of the Body of Christ, Eph 4:11-12 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ
56-1206 paragraph 18c),In the days of Elijah, he knew that he was making ready for his translation.God was going to take him up.So he went and called to Elisha to take his place. And he threw his robe around him and called him to the ministry under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit

Laodicean Church Age:I do not deny that there will be prophets even as in the, days of Paul when there was one,Agabus, a prophet who prophesied of a Famine.I agree that is so.

    God Bless You all

    Major Prophet
This is simply the Prophet of the Age,he is foreordained before the foundation of the world to be the representative for that specific generation,he is the one the Word of the Lord comes to,his ministry as the major prophet is not just to predict future events ,he has a message of the hour to lead the children of God under the leadership of the Holy Ghost, his message is to purge , make people repent from all sins and turn their hearts back to God wherein people will do nothing but God’s will.God Raises only one man at a time to operate in this ministry in each and every age.

    64-0614 The unveiling of God
“E-155 Notice, only Moses had the Word. Now, there wasn’t a–a group came down, there wasn’t just the Pharisees, or the Sadducees, or it wasn’t a–a certain sect or a clan. It was Moses! He got one man. He can’t get two or three different minds. He takes one man. Moses had the Word, and Moses alone. Joshua even didn’t have It. No one else had It. Amen! Joshua was a–a general; Joshua was a commander of the army; Joshua was a believer, a Christian. But Moses was a prophet! The Word can’t come to Joshua; It’s got to come to Moses. He was the major prophet of the hour. Notice, the Word never did come to Joshua till Moses was gone. No, sir. God deals with one at a time. God is one. See? Now, only Moses had the Word, not a group.”

    65-0008 The Laodicean Church Age
“E-21 Jesus called John the Baptist, Elijah.
    Matthew 17:12,
“But I say unto you that Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him what they listed.”
The reason that he called John Elijah, was because the same Spirit that was upon Elijah had come back upon John, even as that Spirit had come back upon Elisha after the reign of King Ahab. Now once again that Spirit will come back upon another man just before Jesus comes. He will be a prophet. He will be vindicated as such by God. Since Jesus, Himself, in the flesh won’t be here to vindicate him, (as He did John) it will be done by the Holy Spirit so that this prophet’s ministry will be attended by great and wonderful manifestation. As a prophet, every revelation will be vindicated, for every revelation will come to pass. Wonderful acts of power will be performed at his commands in faith. Then will be brought forth the message that God has given him in the Word to turn the people back to truth and the true power of God. Some will listen, but the majority will run true to form and reject him.”

    Minor Prophet
Unlike the major prophet ,God can have many individuals operating in this ministry ,there can be many minor prophets at the same time, these prophets are there to edify the church.

Relationship between Major prophet and Minor prophets
Minor Prophets should be under the subjection of the Major prophet as he is the star of the age that we all must follow as it is leading us to Jesus. So whatever they do should be in obedient with the message God sent for that hour for it is the only provided way for us to be saved,if they do not match the standard of the Word of God then they are false prophets everything they do must be in line with God’s word, meaning that if they are true prophets they must subject their ministry to the light of their day.

WHAT IS A PROPHET? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MAJOR AND A MINOR PROPHET?

    Shalom Saints

    WHAT IS A PROPHET?
A prophet is the seer, someone who speaks by divine inspiration; somebody who interpret the will of God.

    Quotations
In the spoken word, “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever” which was preached in 1956-0225, The prophet said,
“100. Come, sister dear, do you believe me to be God’s prophet–or His servant? What is a prophet? Someone who sees, foretells, a seer, is that right? The Bible said in the last days that this would take place, didn’t it? If God will let me know what you’re here for, will you believe it and accept with all your heart? With all your heart you believe it?”

Also in the spoken word 58-0928M The Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
189 Starting from “Now, first apostles; second, prophets. What is a prophet? A seer”. Not one who makes out–not a apostle who makes out like he’s a missionary, stays home, but one who really is a missionary, an apostle. A prophet, a seer…”

60 0724 the Unchangeable word of God
98 “What is a prophet? Is a witness to foretell, to show a vindication that he is a diviner of the Divine Word. The Word of God came to the prophets. Look that down and find out that’s not right”.

63- 1115 THE WORLD IS FALLING APART, The Prophet gave examples
“ And God keeps His promise. He never fails to keep His promise in all ages. When the world was falling apart, in the time of Noah, God sent them a mighty prophet. What did they do with it? Turn it down. What is a prophet? The one the Word comes to, is the Word of God again. In the time of–of Noah, they sent it. In Moses’ time, the whole system was falling apart, they sent a prophet. In Elijah’s time, the whole system was falling apart, they sent a prophet. Every time, when the world gets in this chaos, they send a prophet. And then at this first Christmas, He sent the Word in Its fulness, see, the Word! A portion of the Word in a prophet, prophet had the Message for that age, and he went forth”.

Also in the spoken ,1963-1129 SUPER SIGN
“And a seer was the one who had the interpretation of the written Word, and he foresaw things that was to come. And when he spoke of the things that was to come, and proved that he was a seer, then he knowed. They knowed he had the right interpretation of the Scripture, because God, through him, manifested the written Scripture for that day. Amen. Don’t be slothful. Wake up! That was the plain identification, a seer, a forth-teller and a teller-forth. And the only way that they knowed he was getting the right interpretation to the Scripture, because what he said come to pass. Then they knowed he was called of God, God said that. And then they noticed that it did, it come right back in continuity with the Word for that day”.

I THINK THE DIFFERENT BETWEEN THE MAJOR PROPHET AND MINOR PROPHET IS, THE MAJOR PROPHET IS A PROPHET OF THE AGE WHILE A MINOR PROPHET IS THAT PROPHET THAT CAN BE FOUND IN THE FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY, WHO WORKS WITH TEACHERS, APOSTLES, EVANGELISTS AND PASTORS.HOWEVER, THE MAJOR PROPHET IS THE REVEALER OF THE WORD FOR THE WHOLE AGE WHILE THE MINOR PROPHET IS THE REVEALER OF THE THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING IN A LOCAL CHURCH. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE MAJOR AND THE MINOR IS THAT, THEY ARE ALL BORN PROPHETS, BUT ONE IS BORN FOR THE WHOLE AGE AND THE OTHER ONE IS BORN FOR THE EDIFICATION OF THE LOCAL MINISTRY.

    Quotations
640816 PROVING HIS WORD , The prophet is showing us that everything that a minor prophet says, it must be under the prophet of the AGE.
    111. And he sent his general, Joshua, which was a prophet, so he sent a minor prophet under Moses. And Joshua listened to Moses. And they sent him out, so he said, “Go over and spy that land out.”

1951-0929 Our Hope is in God.
Paragraph. 9. Starting from “There never was in the age, any two major prophets on the earth at one time. There were many minor prophets, but there were one major prophet. And Elijah was the prophet until Elisha came. Then when Elijah was taking off, a portion, double portion, of Elijah’s Spirit, Elijah’s Spirit came upon Elisha”

    GOD BLESS YOU !!!

    SHALOM
Prophet is an inividual to whom the word of God comes to and he reveals it, he is a mouthpiece of God. Prophet is also capable of revealing the secretes of the hearts.
    Quatations
49 Then to confirm the Word, He sends His prophets; He sends His signs; He sends His wonders. And even in all of that, when God will move down into an audience and reveal the very secrets of a man’s heart, tell him the things to do after the Word saying it first, which is the foundation, then the prophet comes and reveals the secrets of his heart and tell him what to do, then you mean to tell me you’d be afraid? Why, my. I’m saying now that God has double confirmed it. That’s right. God in His universe, God in His Word…

Amos 3;7 For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets

    Major phrophet and Minor prophet
    ANSWER
Prophet is the one whose prophecy is not judged because he is vindicated by the word already a minor phrophet REPEAT what the major phrophet has said.

16 Now, those are the spirits of the gifts that’s in the Church. But the only person that has a right to say, THUS SAITH THE LORD, is an a vindicated prophet. You never seen anybody judging Isaiah, or Jeremiah, or those people. They were prophets, foreordained and borned in the world to be prophets. And they foresaw the thing by a vision, and then said, “THUS SAITH THE LORD,” for the Lord had already said it.

CONCLUSION OF THE DISCUSSION ON THE OFFICE OF THE PROPHET
Shalom dear brothers and sisters. I trust that we are all happy as we journey along on this pilgrim way. We want to appreciate you all for your participation on our blog for it brings life to the platform and helps us to grow spiritually.
We have been discussing questions in our Sunday school and, in the last couple of weeks, on this blog on the five-fold ministry. We started with the office of the Pastor and then came to the Prophet and the gift of prophecy. For those who have been taking part, your participation has been quite good and you have been quoting Brother Branham pretty well in your submissions.

Now, the objective of these discussions, friends, is for us to clearly understand the five-fold ministry and the offices thereof as it is these officers or ministers whom God has entrusted with the work of perfecting us for the Rapture. As the Pastor always emphasizes, the purpose of our gathering is for the Rapture, and the Rapture alone.

We must understand, Saints, that the five-ministry is God’s dress ware. In other words, God uses these men to bring His Word to us His bride. As we learnt in our initial Sunday school discussion, the Pastor is the head of the local assembly as the elder, no other man is above him and he reports to no man but directly to God. After the Pastor is the office of the deacon. The deacons are the policemen of the church and the assistants to the Pastor in all spiritual matters. That is the order of our local assembly as given by Brother Branham.

76 Now, God fortified His army. What with? Himself, in the form of prophets, apostles, teachers, pastors. What did He do? What was God doing? Listen, did you ever think what that offices of the church is? It’s God’s dress, inside dress, an apostle, a prophet, a seer. Foresee, before Satan ever gets to it, done told it. What is it? God dressed up in His church. These offices is God’s dress-wear. When you see those offices, pastors, teachers, evangelists, what is that? That’s God’s dress-wear, God’s Presence, God’s Spirit (And if…) working through man. And if that office denies any of this Word, then it’s not God-dressing…?… No, not that. That’s that wolf in sheep’s clothing. Watch that fellow. Beware of him. But when he just takes what the Word says, remember, that’s God, ’cause He’s speaking His Word. See? But if he says, “Well, it isn’t…” Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, my. Get going, sheep; get going!
[62-0607 – Putting On The Whole Armour Of God_Rev. William Marrion Branham.]

And now the Church of God is the house of judgment, and the pastor is the highest order in the Church. The elder is the highest thing in the apostolic Church, outside of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit brings His Message straight to the elder, and the elder gives It to the people. [58-1007 – Church Order_Rev. William Marrion Branham]

The deacons are the policemen of the church, and the assistants to the pastor. [59-0712 – A Total Deliverance_Rev. William Marrion Branham.]

I am sure we all know that the office of major prophet, or prophet of the Age, in this generation has already been fulfilled by William Marrion Branham. He is the final voice to this final age and after him, there cannot be another major prophet. What we are having now while Brother Branham is resting are only minor prophets and people with the gift of prophecy. This brings to mind Brother Branham’s definition of a New Testament prophet whom he says is a preacher.

18 A New Testament prophet is a preacher. We all know that. Just any minister that’s a preacher is a prophet, a New Testament prophet, if he’s prophesying, preaching, not to try to edify himself to make a big name, or to edify his organization. Which, he should be in an organization. Here I am without one, but yet preaching you should be. That’s right. Every man ought to have a church home. You ought to have a place, not just to float about from pillar to post, but have somewhere that you go to church and you call it your church, somewhere you pay your tithes, and somewhere that you help support the Cause. Take your choice, but then don’t never disfellowship the other man because he don’t belong with your group. See? Discern his spirit and see if he’s got the same purpose in heart, then you got fellowship one with another. You’re working for one great Cause. That’s the cause of Christ. I think that that is absolutely true. [60-0308 – Discernment Of Spirit_Rev. William Marrion Branham.]
I believe the following quote best concludes this discussion: “Before we close this section on the messenger of the Laodicean Age, we must seriously consider these two thoughts. First, this age will have ONE Prophet-Messenger. Revelation 10:7 says, “When he (singular) shall begin to sound.” There has never been an age where God gave His people two major prophets at one time. He gave Enoch (alone); He gave Noah (alone); He gave Moses (he alone had the Word though others prophesied); John the Baptist came ALONE.” [An Exposition Of The Seven Church Ages (9 – The Laodicean Church Age)_Rev. William Marrion Branham.]

Therefore, though we may have prophets, there will not be another major prophet after the Elijah of Malachi 4:5, Brother Branham, through whom God repeated the Son of Man ministry which is a one man ministry. We are now in a many-membered ministry wherein the five-fold ministry takes centre stage as God’s dress-wear.
God Richly Bless You All, as we move on to the next topic.

    SHALOM SAINTS!

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PROPHET MESSENGER AND PROPHET OF THE FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY
    Major prophet
In Smyrnaen Church Age the prophet says one messenger for each age receives what the Spirit has to say to that age and that one messenger is the messenger to the true Church.
In Laodecian Church Age the prophet says the prophet-messenger of Revelation 10:7 must already be in the land. Once more THUS SAITH THE LORD must be here, ready to be manifested with infallible vindication.
So from the above quotations we can see that in every age or generation God sends one messenger(major prophet) with his word to that age. That prophet will be a promised prophet like Malachi 4:5 who is the prophet of our day or Isaiah 40:3 the one crying in the wilderness. just to mention a few.
    Minor prophet
In 1Kings 18:4 There was Elijah and also other 100 prophets of God. I can point Elijah as the major prophet or messenger of that age. We don’t even know the names of these minor prophets.
In 1Kings 19:18 There is Elijah and other 7000 prophets which never bowed down to Baal but Elijah did not know any of them.
From the scriptures we can see that there is a difference between a major prophet and a minor prophet. Another example given by our Sunday School Superintendent of Saint Paul and prophet Agabus can also help us to see that these two prophets are different.
    Conclusion
In Ephesians 4:11 It says He gave them apostles, prophets ……. and from this scripture we can see that it speaks of prophets [plural] which are the prophets of the Five-fold Ministry{many membered ministry for the perfection of the bride}. In Malachi 4:5 it speaks of a prophet [singular] who is the prophet of the age we are living in. So l believe there is a difference between the two prophets.
