A PROPHET
He is the one that the Word come to, Amos 3:7 Amo 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
64-0315 paragraph 72-73 Isaiah was a prophet.A Prophets are born. They just laying their hands on them and making them prophets. They are born, foreordained of God.Gifts and calling are without repentance…But a prophet is absolutely ordained with THUS SAITH THE LORD,from childhood up.
56-1206 paragraph 18b),Now God had His man and it was Elijah, the Tishbite. And usually.God has one Major in them days,a major prophet. Then sometimes He will have others, minor prophets,In the days of Elijah,he knew that he was making ready for his translation.God was going to take him up.
Laodicean Church Age:We must seriously consider these two thoughts.First.this Age will have One Prophet-Messenger:Rev 10:7 says, when he(singular shall begin to sound). There has never been an age where God gave His people two Major prophets at one time.He gave Enoch(alone),He gave Noah(alone),He gave Moses(he alone had the word though others prophesied), John the Baptist came Alone
THE PROPHET OF THE FIVE FOLD MINISTRY
He is there for the perfection of the Body of Christ, Eph 4:11-12 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ
56-1206 paragraph 18c),In the days of Elijah, he knew that he was making ready for his translation.God was going to take him up.So he went and called to Elisha to take his place. And he threw his robe around him and called him to the ministry under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit
Laodicean Church Age:I do not deny that there will be prophets even as in the, days of Paul when there was one,Agabus, a prophet who prophesied of a Famine.I agree that is so.
God Bless You all
