CONDITION OF THE CHURCH AFTER THE DEPARTURE OF THE MOSESJOSHUA COMMISION, THE 400 YEARS OF SILENCE, AND THE PERIOD
AFTER THE DEATH OF THE ELIJAH OF MALACHI 4 [PART 2].”
Preacher: Pastor L.T. Mutasa
Scriptures: 1 Peter 1:3-4; Judges 18:1
SERMON NOTES
We were, in this subject whose inspiration emanated from the subject of
this past month-end meetings, looking at the condition of the church after
the departure of the Moses-Joshua commission.
Hannah, in an hour of barrenness, prayed until even the man of God
thought she was drunk, like they thought of the disciples on the day of
Pentecost. She got a blessing from God of a man child, Samuel.
Strike your type in the Bible and God will grant you the same blessing that
He granted to that type.
1 Peter 1:4 ~ We have an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled and that
fadeth not away, a body eternal in the heavens.
Judges 18:1-2 ~ The Danites, a tribe whose emblem was the eagle, typing
this final age, were among the seven tribes that crossed the Jordan yet
were slack in possessing their inheritance.
The Holy Ghost is power to do God a service, and the power to bring the
five senses of the flesh under the subjection of the Word. Therefore, with It,
you cannot say that you cannot do that which you want to do.
When the Old Testament comes to an end with the Book of Malachi, there
was 400 years of silence to the New Testament which starts with the four
Gospels. Theologians say God was “dead.”
Joshua is the Son of God dispensation, a parallel of the Book of Ephesians,
when God is in men in the form of the Holy Ghost. Brother Branham said
this is the Ephesians and we are about to enter in (65-0117 A.PARADOX).
The Promised Land for us which Brother Branham our exodus prophet
took us into, is the Revelation of the Seven Seals which are the seven voices
that thundered according to Revelation 10:6.
Following entering into the Promised Land is the dispensation of the
judges. In this period, men are controlled by demons, with theology from
the pits of hell. Everyone is doing that which seems right in his eyes.
If you are not in the presence of God, you get acclimatised to the
atmosphere that you are living in. A bear in the Savannah Grasslands will
not develop much fair as the Polar bear because of the climate and
atmosphere. There are certain things that develop because of atmosphere.
Genesis 15:13 ~ Israel went into bondage for 400 years in Egypt because
of their rejection of Joseph as God had promised to Abraham. The bondage
really started when there arose a Pharaoh who knew not Joseph.
While in Egypt, the Israelites began to become more like Egyptians because
of atmosphere. They were perverted by the manner of life they were living
until they could not recognise their deliverer Moses.
There was no prophet in the dispensation of the Judges that is why people
were doing as they saw fit and the 400 years of silence were a repetition of
the times of the Judges.
During these 400 years, Israelites were under the influence of the Greek
philosophers and thinkers.
When the Jews starting with Zerubbabel went back to Jerusalem to rebuild
the temple, they did not anoint a king even until the time of the Lord Jesus
Christ and as Judges 18 has shown, in the absence of a king, people do as
they see fit.
They started reading the Word but without the guidance of a prophet.
Many times we criticize the denomination and ignore ourselves that we are
Danites, without an inheritance, the Holy Ghost.
You are in sin yourself, you are a failure yourself, yet you hide and discuss
the failures of other man. This is the hour, wherein we must get our
inheritance.
During the 400 years of silence, they wrote the apocrypha; Septuaginttranslation of the Greek Bible; Vulgate – Latin translation; and The Bible.
The question is, if God is not there through a prophet, then who inspires
them that will be writing?

121 He is the principle theme of the entire Bible. If you read the Bible, and
don’t see Christ in every verse of It, go back and read It again. See? If you
can’t see Christ in every verse of the Bible, then you read It again, because
you’ve missed something. The Bible is Christ. He is the Word. When you read,
“In the beginning God created,” there is Christ. See? Every… From that, to the
“Amen” in Revelations, is every Word testifying of Jesus Christ.
122 That’s why these added books that they call “the Second Book of Daniel,
and the–the Book of the Maccabees, and added Purgatory,” and stuff like
that, see, it’s not spoke of in the Scripture. See? It doesn’t theme up with the
rest of It. There’s no place to place purgatory in there. There is no place to
place intersection of saints, and things. There is no place in there for that.
There is no place for a denomination. There is no place for–for a creeds
outside of It, of the Bible. See? So when you see those things, they–they just
don’t come into the picture. And that’s why people has added those, and got
their–their–their jigsaw puzzle all mixed up. See? They can’t make it right,
“same yesterday, today, and forever!”
They have added and continue to add their own books and things, that is
why they fuss without coming to a solution.
126 There you got your picture wrong again. You got a man fishing out in the
desert, for fish, in a bunch of hot sand where there is no fish at. See? See,
you’ve got to bring him back to where he’s fishing, at Galilee, where there’s
plenty of fish, you see. See?
127 You–you got to make the picture look right. It’s God’s great picture. And
there is only one way you’ll see it, that when you see Jesus Christ. There is the
entire Bible. He’s the principle theme of the Bible.
When you add things that are not part of the puzzle to the jigsaw you will
get a wrong picture, a man fishing in the desert. That is what happens
when you add to the Word of God, The Bible.
129 He is the principle theme of the Bible. He was in the prophets. He was in
the Psalms. He was in the history of the Bible. The Bible is a prophetic Book.
It’s a historical Book. It’s a Book of love. It’s a Book of–of songs. It’s a Book of
Life. And in there you find Christ. He was in the prophets. He was in the
Psalms. He was in the history. And He also, in the Bible, is the things that is to
come. So, He was before and till after. What does that make Him then? “The
same yesterday, today, and forever.”
130 And you inject something in There, that doesn’t make Him “the same
yesterday, today, and forever,” Brother Lee, where do you go to? You got an
awful picture there. For, He was the history, see, and He is the Prophet. He is
the Psalms. He is everything. And if you can’t make Him everything, and the
same, where, what’s your picture look like? Do you see it?
God is not in the Maccabees and all these other added things and so called
books.

21 Now, for a little preview, let’s go back into Exodus. And I hope you don’t
get tired of me talking in Exodus.
One time in my church across the river, I preached, I believe, about a year and
six months on Job, every night. They’d come back; I’d just take a little part of
Job, and going on; we’d make it run through the Bible.
Every Scripture dovetails together. There’s no contradiction in God’s Word.
No, sir. Every bit, perfect… The only Book ever written that’s inspired like
that, that can perfectly… Wrote by many writers, and many hundreds of years
apart; and every one of them, by the Holy Spirit speaking, dovetails right
together. That’s the reason on all these extra books, the Maccabees and
things, it don’t coincide with This, so I don’t accept it. This is God’s Word to
me.

83 But look, in there they organized the first church. And they got together
and organized the first church, which was called the universal church, or the
Catholic church in Rome. And the Catholic says that he is the “mother
church.” And that’s exactly the truth. It’s the mother church of organization.
Correctly. It’s the first time in all the world’s history that ever there was a
church organized; never was, from the dawn of time.
Through the days of Israel, they were not a–they were not a organization.
They were a race not an organization. And they… Jesus Christ never did
organize a church. None of the apostles ever organized a church. And no time
down through, after three or four generations after them, did they ever
organize a church. I want you to bring the history and put your finger on
the… Show me where it’s at. I’ve read Josephus and all the most outstanding
historians we have in the world today, that I know of, ’cause I must be sure. I
make this statements before thousands of people; you’ve got to be able to
back up and prove what you’re talking about. That’s right. There never was
an organization. And not…
85 And Saint Peter never founded the Catholic church. I want one history or
one bit of Scripture. Saint Peter was a married man. You said he was a pope.
He couldn’t have been a pope. Peter was a married man. The Bible said, “His
wife’s mother laid sick of a–of a fever, and Jesus healed her.” And as far as I
know, Saint Peter was never in Rome. And there’s no history that ever shows
he was in Rome. And that’s a error.
But they organized and set together a church called the universal church.
There they made a universal prayer. They had perfect harmony; everybody
had to be together, everybody say the same thing. The same prayer was said.
And they made up a bunch of Scripture, taking them from the Bible, many of
them, and making others. There is not purgatory mentioned one time in all
the sacred Books of the Bible; no “Hail Marys,” nothing like that. It’s always
contrary, against it, everywhere in the Scripture. Never was it at any time.
And if you find any place, you’ve got the privilege of coming tomorrow night
and correcting me. It’s not there, nowhere; bring your priest or pastor. There
is no place in the Scripture where it’s ever mentioned.
The only little book of the Maccabees that was added into This, which is not
inspired; the things that was put in This, or took out of This. This Bible is the
only One. The… It’s been recognized by the early founders, or any of the early
church historians, or any time of the Orthodox Jew, and never recognized
nothing but this Bible that we have today.
62-1230M ABSOLUTE_JEFFERSONVILLE.IN
218 Jesus said, “Go ye into all the world, preach the Gospel to every creature.”
We haven’t reached all the world yet, and a long ways from every creature.
How long? “All the world.” Who to? “Every creature.” What will happen?
“These signs shall follow them that believe. In my Name they shall cast out
devils. They shall speak with new tongues. If they should take up a serpent, or
drink the deadly thing, it would not harm them. If they lay their hands on the
sick, they shall recover.” That’s the absolute holding there, the Word, that
north Star, that compass that stays right with It. That’s what we need.
219 But we went out and built institutions, organized the people, took in
members, and fussed with the Baptists because they didn’t believe the way we
did, and the Methodists because they didn’t, this way. And–and we hatched
out a bigger seminary, built a bigger churches, and better plushed pews, and
a bigger organ, and so forth, and a better-dressed crowd, and got the mayor
and everybody in the church. And what have we got? A bunch of death, tied to
a denominational absolute. Death! Oh, far be it!
Each time you add to the Word of God, you produce a different path, a
denomination which brings death.
220 If I die in my tracks, my absolute is Jesus Christ, upon that is what I
believe, if everybody walks out. Someone said, Dr. Davis said to me, “Billy, you
preach such a thing as that, you’ll preach it to the posts of the church.”
221 I said, “I’ll be preaching God’s Word to the posts, then, ’cause God is able
of these posts to rise children unto Abraham.” Right. God’s Word is true.
Said, “You think they’ll believe you?”
222 I said, “It don’t… That’s not my business. It’s my business to stay true to
that Word.” That’s right.
223 Said, “You think you could meet an educated world like this, with a
theology of–of Divine Healing?”
224 I said, “It’s not my Divine healing. It’s His promise. He was the One give
the commission.” Oh!
226 And now I believe She is ready to strike that final climax yonder, to bring
forth a Faith that will Rapture the Church into Glory. And She is laying in the
Messages. We’re really at the end time. We’ve talked about it, and everything,
but the thing has moved upon us now. Yeah. Yes, sir. Here is one. That’s right.
237 Each one has their own absolute. Oh, my! It’s just like it was in the days of
judges, “Every man done what was right in his own sight.” In the days of
judges, every man had his own–his own absolute. He did just what he wanted
to do. And that’s the way it is now. “Every man done right in his own sight.”
Now, you know the reason they did that in Judges? This might shock just a
little bit. But the reason they did it in Judges, because they had no prophet in
them days, for the Word of the Lord to come to. So every man could do what
he wanted to, in his own sight.
238 And that’s exactly what’s happened today. We don’t have the prophet in
these days of denominations, but God promised us one. See? See? And He did.
In the last days, He would rise up and send Elijah back on the scene again,
“And he would turn the hearts of the children back to the Faith of the
fathers,” back to the original Pentecost. You know he said that.
The reason why people end up mixed up is because in the absence of the
prophet, they add their own books to God’s Word.
We came out of Babylon and entered in the Promised Land, the Moses-
Joshua commission is history, the prophet is resting, what is the condition
of the church? A people without an inheritance.
Samuel was a prophet, the solution to the errors of the people during the
time of the Judges, but the people started complaining to him and wanted a
king not The King. It is repeating today, Malachi 4 is off the scene, and
people want a king, but the Voice still lives.
They are having ten interpretations to the same Spoken Word and it causes
divisions amongst the Bride. A person is corrected in one Message church
and they find refuge in another Message church.
If preaching causes discord amongst brethren, it is influenced from the
dark pits of hell no matter how good it may seem.
The Bride must be able to rightfully divide the Word of Truth to know what
is of God and what is not?
“A little while, and the world seeth me no more, but ye shall see me.” It is to
those who are blind, that there is no King.
Many will quote from the Message of The Hour yet writing another
apocrypha.
In our day, there must be individuals that are walking with Him, like
Simeon and Annas, Mary and Joseph, Zechariah and Elizabeth who had
leadership of the Holy Ghost during the 400 years of silence.
